Christmas newsletter...
It’s almost Christmas and this will be the last newsletter of 2025! Yes I know! Time seems to really fly when you’re volunteering 😃 oh and having fun 🤩.
At this time of year for most it is important to give thanks for what we have received, or maybe achieved during the year. I am sure like most of our patrons that come through our doors, they are thankful that our charity exists. I speak to many people each week, who are both part of our charity and who are not. Mostly they say what admiration they feel for what we do day to day and for the way how we deliver it.
Personally I am thankful for the people like you, as volunteers that come through the NCS doors each day and do what you. If you’re lucky, you may get a grateful smile. But from myself and the other trustees, I would like to extend a warm thank you for your time.
A lot has happened this year including NCS saying farewell to some volunteers who have moved away. We have also gained more volunteers and one has joined us with knowledge and experience from other charities. Some have taken on more responsibilities within the charity, which has been a great help. Again this year we have worked really well with Rotary Northwich and some of our volunteers

The greatest problem we have had this year has only happened recently. As most of you will know, receiving supermarket donations have always been the biggest part of how we survive. To have these donations cut by 75% over the last few months, has been a big blow. However each NCS hub has pulled on its resources and used its delegated authorities, to push forward to help local families by keeping the hubs going, well done to you all.
As I’m writing this final newsletter of 2025, I am currently in Switzerland visiting family I haven’t seen for quite some time. My daughter is unfortunately in hospital due to illness. Although it is a difficult time for us, we have received lots of well wishes from close family and friends. I hope you will all have time to spend with your family and friends over the festive period.

Merry Christmas form us all!
